DÉJA VU (PRAGA)

A veces me da pereza seguir caminando. Me quitáis las ganas de ver mundo. No quiero levantar la mirada. Vuestras caras me hunden el día. No soporto escuchar vuestros comentarios.

Sometimes I can’t be bothered to keep on walking. You make me feel like not wanting to see the world. I don’t want to raise my eyes. Your faces ruin my day. I can’t stand hearing your remarks. I curse this cram-full street I am trapped into.
I ought to stop travelling to places where others do tourism.
Now that Europe is a déja-vu with no borders we must explore beyond, in search of new limits.

DON’T YOU DIE BEFORE I DO

If you die before I do, your one thousand and one scents will vanish with you, your long neck will smell of nothing, worse than nothing. Don’t you die before I do, it’s better if the dead don’t smell at all.
If you die before I do, the taste of your flesh will be dissolved in my memory, it will taste of nothing, worse than nothing. Don’t you die before I do, the dead always leave a nasty taste in the mouth.
If you die before I do, the echoes of your laugh will die away with you, your laugh will laugh about nothing, worse than nothing. Don’t you die before I do, the dead are not funny.
If you die before I do, your caresses will die with you, you won’t be able to hold my hand or to scratch my back or anything, worse than anything. Don’t you die before I do, don’t get up my nose.
If you die before I do, your smile will rot with you, the worms will devour your lips and gums, only your teeth will remain, but a smile without eyes is not a smile, it’s nothing, worse than nothing. Don’t you die before I do, the smile of a dead girl means nothing.

AHÍ QUEDA ESO

SIEMPRE me he querido más bien poco.
A VECES he llegado incluso a odiarme.
MUY RARAMENTE he estado contento conmigo.
A MENUDO me digo que no soy nadie.
NUNCA he encontrado motivos para admirarme.

TAKE THAT!

ALWAYS have I loved myself pretty little.
SOMETIMES I even hate myself.
VERY SELDOM I have felt happy about myself.
OFTEN I tell myself that I am nobody.
NEVER have I find any reason to admire myself.
BEFORE I thought a lot about killing myself.
NOW I know it would be useless.
THE TRUTH IS, was I another person, I would not have the slightest interest in knowing me.

Take that!

FUCKING CLUELESS

Some people decide at an early age that they already know everything, therefore they die being fucking clueless. What would become of Armatage Shanks without the warm, tiny happiness of learning something everyday, and of reflecting on it those days when fate moves us away from the lessons of life.

HUMBLENESS IS THE ONLY ROAD TO THE PALACE OF WISDOM

DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES

Metaphors are my ruin and in them I get lost, my style is so baroque that drives many up the wall, but you can be sure that my words are exactly the reflection of what’s burning me inside.

A PRAÇA OF ALMADA

The afternoon is losing its daily battle against the night over this atlantic terrace, which deserves a better company than that of these pair of absurd buildings. On the square, an upset kid is crying in a close language. Portugal, so near, so forgotten. Portuguese, Spaniards. We hate each other like good neighbours. Two peoples, so close that they could kiss each other’s cheeks. For the moment, they prefer to keep on facing away from each other.

CALENTAMIENTO GLOBAL

GLOBAL WARMING

Did anything ever happen to you in winter? Did you loose your virginity in its frozen nights that make your bowels go numb? Did your life change while watching its early, dull sunsets? Did you find the truth in its empty streets while the people are hiding in their homes?

The coming summer’s surprises hibernate in winter’s caves, the past summer’s promises and memories drown in winter’s puddles.

If the winter melts, our summer will decay.
