ECCENTRIC DISPLACEMENT’S URGENCY

We are perfectly entitled to run away if this society expels us,

if we do not reflect on it’s luxurious shop windows,

if it keeps for us the garlic and the cross of vampires,

weirdoes who do not buy, therefore do not exist.

We are perfectly entitled to run away if we feel cornered,

like animals wounded by bursts of commercials,

by the shrapnel of fabricated needs,

like rams immolated on consumer society’s altars.

We must run away, whether our flight be a leap in the dark or a race towards the ends,

towards anywhere but the rotten heart

where the system’s jaws await us, drooling.

KURSAAL

KURSAAL

As from yesterday I see it clear: the problem is that I am wrapped in a transparent crystal cube.
It protects me from the wind, but it steals me its scents.
It keeps me dry from the rain, but it mists over my sight.
So, I find myself damned: the sea speaks to me in silence, I catch glimpses of the skies but I cannot touch them.

¡Esos cuernos!

EXTREME UNCTION SOUNDS LIKE THE NAME OF A HEAVY METAL BAND

Extreme unction sounds like the name of a heavy metal band. That’s a concept which’s been around my mind for a while. If this is all there is to me (not this, whatever), may a long-haired priest come, a member of the missal hordes, and certify with sprinkler hits that there is no life left in this body.

Do the Devil horns sign!

THE CAGED EXPRESSION

Every time the lights go off and you make magic seem like child’s play, it comes to my mind that I always wanted to be one of you. Every time we leave the still darkened room, a swarm of mosquitoes flying towards the light that wipes them out, I blink and admit once more my caged expression. In the jet-black womb where dreams come ephemerally alive everything’s in order. It’s the halogenous light the one that blinds and confuses me.

LADY VENGANZA

LADY VENGEANCE

There’s a little Chinese girl in the bar who’s fascinated with the fruit machines’ lights. She’s two hunchbacked parents’ adopted daughter. Someday, this little Chinese girl will be young and beautiful, tall and slim as a reed. She will then promenade by the arms of their deformed parents, who will have already forgotten that she’s adopted and will see her as a victory of their genetic combination. Then they will pass by those who used to humiliate them back in school and they will look at them smiling, their sugary eyes oozing the sweet elixir of vengeance.

RAINS OF MAY

It’s been raining the whole month, so to speak, and I admired the skill of the girls who smoked under their umbrellas.
But this afternoon, Valencia’s light has come back to set the quarter’s bell towers on fire and to steal fragmented shines from the market domes’ mosaics.
And now, within me, the rainy clouds brought about by your seasonal absence are starting to bank up.
It will be like that until the early autumn storms soak again my lonely summers’ monotonous dryness.
